US Overreacting Over Submarine Missile Test, Says North Korea

Seoul:North Korea mentioned on Thursday the US was overreacting to its current missile check and questioned the sincerity of Washington's gives of talks, warning of penalties.
This week's check of a brand new ballistic missile from a submarine was a part of North Korea's mid- and long-term plan to bolster self defence and was not aimed toward the US or another nation, an unnamed spokesperson at Pyongyang's international ministry mentioned, in response to the official KCNA information company.
Washington had taken "overly provocative strikes" by calling the check a violation of UN Safety Council resolutions and a risk to regional peace and stability, the spokesperson mentioned.
The Safety Council met on Wednesday over the launch on the request of the US and Britain, and the US envoy urged Pyongyang to simply accept gives of talks, reiterating that Washington has no hostile intent towards it.
The international ministry spokesperson mentioned the US' "double requirements" over missile growth solid doubt over its overtures.
"It's a clear double normal that the US denounces us for growing and testing the identical weapons system it already has or was growing, and that solely provides suspicions to their sincerity after saying they haven't any hostility in direction of us," the spokesperson mentioned in a press release carried by KCNA.
